October Skincare Faves:

  • Laneige Lip Mask: My mom got me hooked on this lip mask that her friends got her hooked on. Laneige says you will wake up with baby-soft lips. I can attest that they are not wrong. My lips have never been more hydrated. For a girl that picks her lips, if they are dry, this lip mask keeps me from doing that.
  • Covey Skincare: I am very picky about what skincare I use. It has to be clean, it has to have zero pore-clogging ingredients and it needs to be simple. The last thing I want to do at night is wash my face. I do it though, because I know it’s worth it. I use Covey’s Bakuchiol Night Serum and their Moisturizer. They both have clean ingredients and haven’t made me break out. They are gentle and I am loving them so far. I can’t wait to try more of their products.
  • Hempz Body Lotion: I wanted a new body lotion that was calming and this one takes the cake. This lotion is quick to soak in, gentle, smells delicious, and the texture is glorious. I hate when lotions leave a greasy residue and this one does not. I can put my clothes on easily after applying. It’s not sticky and keeps me super moisturized.

Chicken Coop Faves:

  • Nest Box Pads: We did a coop remodel and our one goal was to have less dust. These nest box pads are a huge factor in keeping our coop less dusty. The chickens fluff them up and they are easy to shake clean if a naughty chicken poops in the nest box.
  • Hemp Bedding: Another part of our less dusty coop is this hemp bedding. I’m not kidding, I mix all the droppings around every few days and there is zero dust that flies up. It has been a game-changer. The price point is definitely higher than your average pine shavings but it’s worth it for us.

Self-Care October Favorites

  • Kindle Paperwhite: I was on the fence about getting a digital device to read books on but with the Libby App, I seriously can’t see myself going back to a physical book. I will be getting physical books that I want to write in and underline like self-help or religious books. I am loving my Kindle and am finding myself reading more because I take it everywhere. It’s so slim and lightweight.
