This week is the last week of school, and then it’s summer break!

As I was thinking about summer, I painted two paintings this week that made me think about it. My parents have been going shrimping on their boat, and we are planning to go with them on one of the days. Fingers crossed that the weather is good! We Facetimed them when they went out and got to watch them pull up the pots. It inspired me to paint a shrimp. I am very proud of how this shrimp turned out. It took a lot of fine details and patience on the little legs.

I also thought about what kids do in the summer. And I got this picture in my head of a chicken riding a scooter. So, in honor of summer break… We are scootin’ into summer break like…
